Giving chase after her brother (himself in pursuit of Ryōkō) in the only recently fully-outfitted Ryū-ō, Aeka took along her little sister and their guardians Azaka and Kamidake, and placed herself and Sasami into stasis while Ryū-ō's automated systems followed Yōshō's trail. Awakening rarely over the following seven centuries only to return to stasis when it became clear that a lead was a dead end, Aeka barely had a few weeks of conscious awareness until arriving in orbit around the planet Earth, where Ryū-ō detected Ryōkō's unique energy patterns.

Faced with the horrific discovery that the statute of limitations on Ryōkō's criminal charges had expired while she was in stasis (on top of the Earth no longer being a Juraian imperial possession), Aeka opted to take justice into her own hands, and with some reluctance contracted the bounty hunter Lobo to capture the space pirate.

• Energy Projection: Aeka possesses innate meta-Juraian abilties inherited from her mother that allow her to project waves of repelling energetic force; without intense focus or the assistance of her Guardian systems, she cannot easily shape or direct this energy.
• Flight: although lacking the speed of a Kryptonian or the maneuverability of meta-Oni, Aeka possesses an innate ability of flight. Due to the risk of injury from crashing, she rarely uses this power without wearing her battle garb.
• Ryū-ō Key: Aeka's tiara—formed by the tree Ryū-ō from some of her resin and living wood—acts as a control device for both the non-bonded systems on Ryū-ō, and a variety of Guardian systems typically stored in subspace
• Battle Garb: via her tiara, Aeka is able to manifest Juraian battle armor which significantly increases her resistance to damage, enhancing her innate abilities to allow her to match some of the most dangerous beings in the galaxy.
• Guardians: Aeka can manifest a large number of cylindrical mini-Guardians at will, allowing her to ensare opponents and deliver electrical shocks, as well as enhancing her meta-Juraian abilities to create force fields.
• Ryū-ō Systems: All of the onboard systems of Ryū-ō's spaceship form are under Aeka's direct, conscious control.
• Royal Tree Bond: linked to the second-generation Royal Tree Ryū-ō, Aeka is capable of manifesting a single Light Hawk Wing to defend and atack in the form of simple energy constructs.
• Martial Arts: Aeka has trained in Juraian martial arts under her mother Misaki, the most skilled living practitioner. Her hand-to-hand combat skills significantly exceed Tenchi's current level.
• Super-Strength: In combat and moments of stress, Aeka has demonstrated moments of strength far exceeding ordinary Juraian limits.
