    | "When I left the League of Assassins, I didn't know you. You asked for my trust. The chance to prove you could be a father...now it's time for you to trust me." |

Born of a union between Talia ibnat Ghul (daughter of Ra's al Ghul) and Bruce Wayne (the Batman), Damian was raised from infancy to be the heir to the League of Assassins and its most dangerous opponent, the Dark Knight Detective. During his early childhood training, he counterattacked his cousin Mara in a training match and took out her right eye with her own knife, a hallmark in a longstanding rivalry that has only recently cooled to mutual respect.
    Batman and Son
Arriving in Gotham during a period in which Bruce Wayne began to pull back from the Batman identity to refocus his efforts, Damian initially clashed with his family members, having been raised to view himself as the natural heir and a superior combatant. Through careful introduction to not only the fellow children of superheroes but ordinary Gotham youths as well, Damian's perspective began to mellow as he accepted that the reality of the world was not what he had been trained to believe.
The bond of friendship with Jon Kent, Colin Wilkes, and the time-traveling Rini Osaka proved to be a powerful motivator, especially as the quartet formed the core of the latest incarnation of the Teen Titans alongside Beacon, Citizen Saturn, Crush, Djinn, Kid Flash, Nobody, Red Arrow, and Roundhouse.
    Lilit Rising
Spoiler Alert! The following contains plot details for the events of lilit rising
By the time he became aware that his father had a biological child preceding himself, Damian's opinions on the world and his place in it had mellowed considerably; although he still has his doubts about Saotome Ranma, he has readily accepted his half-sibling's skills as "adequate". Unbeknownst to Ranma, Damian has come to see their interactions as a competition of making increasingly grandiose gestures, ranging from gift-giving to life-saving.

    Special Abilities:

      - Business Management: in spite of his youth, Damian's training emphasized leadership ability and ruthless conduct that pairs with his investigative skills to allow him to find his way through a corporate battlefield as easily as a mortal one.

      - Driving: having been trained to driving proficiency on par with professional getaway drivers since the age of five years, Damian is capable of handling most conventional vehicles.

      - Intimidation: in spite of his youth and petite stature, Damian has mastered the art of intimidation through both threats, deadly martial arts skill and sheer force of will. His ability to assert his intent has only grown as he has begun to study esoteric qi techniques.

      - Martial Arts: Damian is trained—with an emphasis on death-blows, until the past few years—in martial arts including but not limited to archery, bōjutsu, karate, ninjutsu, stickfighting, swordsmanship, tae kwon do, and numerous secret assassination techniques. His training and experience puts him on par with some of the most skilled martial artists in the world, although at times he is thrown off by the reminder to restrain himself from killing.

      - Multilingualism: Damian is a native speaker of Arabic, English, and Mandarin Chinese; he is conversational in Cantonese, French, Greek, Hebrew, Japanese, Kurdish, Persian, Turkish, and Urdu.

      - Occultism: Damian is more directly familiar with magic than his father, and although he uses them sparingly, he is trained in the casting of some spells.

      - Stealth: as a student of both the League of Assassins and the Batfam, Damian is highly skilled in moving undetected.
