Tim did not become Robin because he was chosen for it, but because he chose it. Seeing the effect of the absence of a Robin on Batman, he used inductive reasoning and recognition of Nightwing's acrobatic skills as unique to the Flying Graysons in order to determine Batman's secret identity. Becoming the third Robin during the Year of the Monkey, he was only two years into acting as a Robin when tested by the events of the Cataclysm. Eventually joining the Sailor Sentoin, Superboys, Impulse, and Wonder Girl in the raid on the Dark Kingdom at D Point, his intelligence proved a critical component in helping to liberate the Evelanders and Yōma. As a result of these adventures, he and his new friends formed the team that would come to be known as Young Justice, briefly operating independent of Batman after a full two years of being public as the Boy Wonder. Young, Just Us Tim's experiences with the Young Justice team allowed him to grow as a leader, his keen analytical mind and personal drive creating someone who could work well with his teammates' flaws and virtues. He developed close bonds with the 'core' members of the team: Conner, Bart, Minako, and Cassie. Spoiled During Tim's time with Young Justice, a new Robin stepped in: Stephanie Brown, formerly 'Spoiler'. The two enjoyed a romance that flared and eventually faded, as differences in who they were as both heroes and everyday people settled in. They remain close, however, and Stephanie has come to regard Tim as the next best option for strategy when Oracle and Batman are unavailable to coordinate. A Family Found After a brief stint with the Titans alongside Beast Boy and Raven, Tim returned to Gotham as a dedicated part of the city's defenders. By the time of the second Year of the Ox, he had reconnected with his old friend Bernard, and the two began dating. Now more mature and trained, Tim has come to have an understanding of how to balance his 'work life', romance, and time with his growing family. On learning of Ranma's existence and the nature of Zhòuquánxiāng curses, he has begun pursuing avenues of investigation to learn more about the topic and see if there is a connection to the Lazarus Pits. | ||||||||
